This article provides step-by-step instructions for installing Magic Lantern firmware.
There is a lot of potential hidden inside your Canon camera. The Magic Lantern program is the key that will open up new camera abilities unknown to you.
Attention! All actions you perform at your own peril and risk!
Magic Lantern is one of the most popular firmware available, opening up many possibilities for creating high-quality photos and videos. This is a free, freely distributed program compatible with the Canon firmware fund, which provides new options, the number of which is constantly updated.
After installing Magic Lantern, your SLR camera gets some new useful tools:
1.Focus peaking: emphasizes the flickering border details of the scene in focus;
2.Zebras: shows areas with under and over exposure;
3. Intervalometer - a useful tool for frame-by-frame shooting, does not require any remote connections;
4.Motion detector: the camera takes a picture if a moving object hits the lens.
These new options and tools are just the tip of the iceberg. A complete list of features, options, and tools can be found in the Magic Lantern User Guide.
I must say right away that the Magic Lantern program is not supported by Canon manufacturers. Installing this firmware may void the warranty on the camera.
